As many people have now noticed, we’ve been hard at work on some new stuff in Yahoo! Mail Beta. I know many people come here for details of the updates, here’s what I can tell you:
- There’s no change log available yet. Sorry.
- The release isn’t out to all users yet. Read this Yahoo! Mail Update post if you want to understand why.
- The crazy users (I mean that endearingly) over at the Y-Mail Yahoo! Group have screenshots of some the updates.
Yeah, okay…nothing juicy. I know. But we only just pushed the update.
héhéhé sometimes I wish upgrading Yahoo! Mail was as easy as upgrading my system, by pressng a single button or a command line.

Cant wait to try this new build, this means i can finally stop using google’s calendar. Im happy yahoo decided to incorporate the calendar with the mail. Everything in one place.
Any news on the RSS aggregator you have been working on?
Yeah, I got some very basic stuff working and then had to stop working on it for a bit. The push last week took up quite a bit of my time, so I haven’t had as much spare time to work on the aggregator.
This looks to be another really busy week for me through Thursday, but after that I’m hoping to get enough time to play around with it some more.
Any plans to get rid of that yahoo ad on the right side that has to refresh every 10 seconds or so slowing everything down and getting very annoying? Thanks.
Brian, I don’t work on the UI, so I can’t comment on any plans for the ads.
When is Farm 308 going to be updated with the new features.
