The main difference is that everyone up there has air conditioning. Of course, AC is useless without electricity. The power has been out on my block near Campbell since noon—yesterday! I woke up and it was still 88 degrees in the house and we had all the windows open. Sigh. My wife and I are off to see if we can't find an air conditioning unit today. This heat is getting out of hand! I'm Chinese and like your Irish/Scottish genes, mine can't take this heat either! Oh man! I can’t even imagine 114!
