Someone turn off the sun…

Allegedly it hit 113 in Folsom today. It’s been like this the last several days, I think they said we could be looking at 10 days straight of 100+ (including the days from last week and the ones to come this week). That’s just insane.

Mookie pointed out how hot it’s been down in the Bay Area. Unfortunately, since the highs appear to have only made it to the low/mid 90’s in Sunnyvale, I have little sympathy. I actually look forward to going down to work in Sunnyvale during the week because I know I’ll get a couple days break from the Sacramento heat.

It’s 12:25am and it’s STILL 89 outside. I’m Irish/Scottish damnit, my genes can’t take this heat.

    Oh man! I can’t even imagine 114!

I actually live in South San Jose, which gets Gilroy like heat (103-104 yesterday). I hate the heat. I woke up and it was still 88 degrees in the house and we had all the windows open. Sigh. My wife and I are off to see if we can’t find an air conditioning unit today. This heat is getting out of hand!

I’m Chinese and like your Irish/Scottish genes, mine can’t take this heat either!

Ah, so you live down by my mom (101 and Blossom Hill area). Yeah, I remember summers growing up there. Hot. Not Phoenix in August hot…but still hot.

I grew up in Rocklin so the heat down here in San Jose is relatively cool. The main difference is that everyone up there has air conditioning. Of course, AC is useless without electricity. The power has been out on my block near Campbell since noon—yesterday!

Wow. Have any kids you can hook up to the AC hamster wheel? ;)

send some kids…err hampsters over. power went out on our block yesterday after and has not yet returned yet.
