This isn't necessary, but it is a very good idea. 2) Unzip the upgraded WordPress. 3) Copy wp-config.php and wp-content/ from your original install to the unzipped copy of WordPress. 4) Move my current WordPress directory out of the way (mv blog blog.bak). 5) Move the unzipped copy of WordPress to where the old one used to be (mv wordpress-2.0 blog). 6) Hit the upgrade URL (/wp-admin/upgrade.php). 7) Look around the site and make sure everything looks okay. These are basically the same directions as they have on <a href="http://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress" rel="nofollow">the WordPress Codex</a>.
