One Year of Yahoo!
While I was away on vacation I reached my 1 year anniversary with Yahoo! This is a somewhat important milestone in my relationship with any company, because this has typically been about the time past job situations have soured.
I joined Excite around June 2000. By June 2001 the company was in a full panic and the writing was pretty clearly on the wall. I joined Jel afterwards around February 2002. By January/February 2003 they were losing their Java contracts and I jumped ship. I started with EarthLink in May 2003 and by May 2004 they had absolutely no idea what to do with myself and several other engineers. I left there in November 2004 and joined Yahoo!
Now, a year later, Yahoo! and my job in particular are doing well. I’m working on a fun project at a successful company and I don’t see any changes on the horizon any time soon.
