My wife Lisa and I have been planning on going to New York for a while now. Ever since EarthLink sent me out there on a business trip (thanks Steve!), I’ve really wanted to go back. That was my only trip to the big apple (are you supposed to capitalize that?) and I didn’t get to see much aside from a quick walk around Times Square and the inside of my hotel.
So I’m really excited that I’ll be going back in mid-November. We’ll be flying the fantastic JetBlue Airways. Not only do they have decent rates, but their website kicks ass for setting up a reservation and they have satellite television onboard. We’ll be staying not far from Central Park at the Milburn Hotel. It’s inexpensive (less than $200/night) and was recommended by a friend.
As for sight seeing, hopefully we’ll see it all. We’ve got a full 6 days there. We’d like to see a show or two, do some tours, visit the World Trade Center and also catch a Knicks game at Madison Square Garden. I’d also like to check out a museum or two, sample some tasty food, experience another cab ride and take a walk through Central Park.
This will be my second significant trip in the last two years (the other being my honeymoon in New Zealand). I really enjoy traveling and seeing new and exciting places, so I’m hoping we’ll be able to keep up this 1 big trip a year pace. Maybe alternating trips: one year in the US the next somewhere outside the US.
