Okay, he actually loves all of us who worked on Yahoo! Mail Beta. But I can’t help thinking that some of his love is reserved specially for me (that’s a WSJ link, last time I checked it was registration free…but that may change). He points out that Yahoo! Mail Beta “more closely matches the desktop experience most serious email users have come to expect.” I’m glad someone else likes our approach to mail as much as we do. Now all we have to do is round off any remaining sharp corners and get this into the hands of our massive user base.
Reviews like this and all the other love we’ve been receiving remind me just how much of a good choice it was coming to Yahoo!. I had an opportunity to work on what sounded like a cool project with tremendous potential to change the webmail landscape. Who would have guessed that 10 months later I’d be an engineer on the greatest webmail around, working with some of the most talented people I’ve ever met.
