We recently put up a new version of the beta. Here’s a list of changes for anyone interested:
- Fixed bug where toggling rich/plain text didn’t take effect on next compose.
- Clicking the To/Cc buttons with an empty address book no longer informs the user that their Contacts failed to load.
- Fixed bug where message could be flagged during a drag/drop operation.
- Fixed bug where some messages were incorrectly reported by as having attachments, causing message header to show ‘Attachments: undefined’.
- Fixed Firefox-specific bug where app load got stuck on the Logging In page.
- Fixed Firefox-specific bug where app would fail to finish rendering the main page (stuck on header).
- Fixed Firefox-specific bug where app loaded completely, but the throbber/loading widget continued to spin/throb.
- Fixed bug where deleting final message from Trash caused error.
- Fixed Firefox-specific bug where name column text could flow into the email address column when viewing Contacts.
- We no longer hide the preview pane in the spam folder by default.
- Fixed Firefox-specific bug where final search result was not visible.
- Fixed Mac Firefox bug where keyboard shortcuts fired in folder renamer field, other keyboard shortcuts fired in web search field.
- Fixed Internet Explorer bug where opening the folder renamer could crash the browser.
- Fixed Firefox-specific bug where switching mail tabs after reply could wipe out the mail tabs.
- Fixed error when signing out or option out of app with a partially composed message.
To get these fixes you need only close and reopen the Yahoo! Mail Beta.

BTW why don’t you close the preview pane by default in the spam folder anymore? Guillaume
There were some usability issues with the preview pane disappearing when you switched to the spam folder.

Why can’t I hide my folders any more?
Tim, were you ever able to in the past? I don’t remember that being an option, although I don’t use folders very much.
